More information:

What is the Geophone Prize? A new American-Made Challenge, in Phase I the Geophone Prize funding opportunity will award up to 8 teams $150,000 each to prototype, test, and create high-temperature seismic monitoring technology for geothermal systems. Part of the prize will be vouchers to work directly with National Labs or other laboratories, to develop your technology.

What is “teaming”? Teaming means applying for the prize with another organization, individual, or university. Teams may be stronger applicants for this specific prize, which seeks to advance current available seismic monitoring technology and may involve applications of technologies from other industries and improvements to existing technologies. Teaming will be facilitated at the event with a virtual networking platform.
