Federal energy programs have seen significant changes over the past year including the cancellation of $7.6B in previously awarded grants; energy tax incentive rollbacks; DOE reorganization; and SBIR expiration. Recent actions are starting to bring clarity to the future of these programs. Congress has just passed a compromise appropriations bill funding energy programs for the remainder of this fiscal year (FY2026) and is now turning to work on the next fiscal year (FY2027).
