WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the Biden-Harris Administration announced several initial actions on bolstering innovation across the clean energy economy including the formulation of a Climate Innovation Working Group, releasing the outline of an innovation agenda, and the announcement of $100M in funding through the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy. CEBN President Lynn Abramson offered the following comments:

“The CEBN supports these new efforts to bolster energy innovation across the U.S. We have long worked to ensure continued robust federal funding for successful energy research, development, deployment, and commercialization, and we are committed to working alongside the Administration to accelerate innovation across a broad array of clean energy technologies.”

“Investments in energy innovation pay off for the American taxpayer in both the short and long-term by helping to lower energy bills, boost resilience, reduce air pollution, and generate good-paying jobs in communities across the country.”

“We look forward to working with the Biden-Harris Administration as it implements this energy innovation agenda and with Congress as it considers appropriations of relevant programs.”
