During the past five years, CEBN has more than doubled to support over 6,000 clean energy business leaders across all 50 states. Our resources and services have grown as well, expanding how we can support small businesses. Over the past 5 years, we’ve hosted 60+ events and sent 250 newsletters featuring federal policy news, funding opportunities, and energy updates across the U.S.

Many of our members have spoken up and taken action including through 200+ meetings with policymakers and 650 direct messages to Congressional leaders. Through your input, we’ve helped develop improvements to the Small Business Innovation Research program, and CEBN President Lynn Abramson has testified in Congressional hearings twice. As a result of our members’ engagement, we have helped secure major policy wins through passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, clean energy tax extensions in 2020, and robust federal funding for cleantech R&D.

Together, we’ve helped push cleantech innovation and deployment forward. In 2020, CEBN secured a multi-year grant with the Department of Energy to support the American-Made Challenges program, and in two years we’ve supported 900+ applicants on DOE awards and prizes. We’ve launched the CEBN Cleantech Funding Database, and 2,300 individuals have leveraged this resource, which has featured over $2.5 billion worth of funding opportunities.

We are grateful for the business leaders have have shared their stories with us, and we’ve been happy to publish 115+ cases studies highlighting cleantech entrepreneurs and innovators, including through our Faces Behind the Facts profile series.
