Washington, D.C. – Lynn Abramson, President of the Clean Energy Business Network, issued the following statement after Congress passed the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023:
“We applaud Congress and the White House on a bipartisan deal that not only preserves our nation’s credit but also protects the wins within the Inflation Reduction Act, which are driving economic growth in the clean energy economy across the country. Repealing the clean energy tax incentives from the IRA would have been a disaster, creating market uncertainty for projects already underway in planning or development.”
“The bipartisan agreement on permitting reform is also a positive step forward and we look forward to working with Congress, the Administration, and stakeholders to continue to address the serious bottlenecks and uncertainty that businesses and communities face in deploying cleantech solutions.”
