CEBN is Seeking Candidates for Two Internship Positions (Deadline Has Passed)

April 3, 2018 | Andy Barnes, Program Manager, Clean Energy Business Network

NOTE: The deadline for this opportunity has passed, and we are no longer accepting applicants for these roles. Please keep an eye out for future internship opportunities.

The Clean Energy Business Network—a membership association of small- and medium-size businesses working across the clean energy economy—is currently looking to fill two internship positions to support our activities over the coming months. Applications for our Business Development and Communications Internships are being accepted through Monday, April 16. The start dates for these internships are flexible, but a commitment of 6-8 weeks over the summer is expected. Those with capacity to work on a limited basis of a few hours per week before the spring semester ends would be preferred. Interns will receive a stipend of $1,500-$2,000 depending on the total time commitment.

The Business Development Intern will assist with business support services and member recruitment. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate/graduate student or recent graduate with a strong background in business, communications, or energy. This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the clean energy business landscape and contribute to the success of small companies working across the renewable energy, efficiency, natural gas, and advanced transportation sectors. Duties will include researching federal, state, and private funding opportunities for clean energy businesses; assisting staff through attendance of meetings with federal agency officials and drafting original blog posts summarizing federal resources for small businesses; analyzing and segmenting existing membership; and conducting lead generation and outreach for membership recruitment. A full description is available here.

The Communications Intern will work to expand the CEBN brand and achieve policy goals through both traditional and social media outreach. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate/graduate student or recent graduate with a strong background in communications or energy. This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to engage in messaging geared towards policy goals and expand awareness of the CEBN. Duties will include assisting in production of weekly member newsletter;  developing social media content; tracking membership engagement; and drafting profiles of clean energy business leaders and their companies. A full description is available here. Please submit a resume and cover letter by Monday, April 16 to CEBN@cebn.org to be considered for one of these internships.
