The USDA Forest Service is delivering the Community Wood Energy and Wood Innovation Program (Community Wood) to support the Rural Revitalization Technologies 7 U.S.C. Sec. 8113 and Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 Pub. L. 115-334 Sec. 9013, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Bipartisan Infrastructure Law) Pub. L. 117-58 Div. J Title VI which directly support the installation of thermally led community wood energy systems or development and expansion of innovative wood product facilities. The intent of the Community Wood is to support forest health and stimulate local economies by expanding renewable wood energy use and innovative wood products manufacturing capacity.

The Climatetech Testing and Demonstration Assets (TDA) Program provides capital grants between $1.5M and $5M to Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) in Massachusetts to develop shared infrastructure, equipment, and other capital assets that advance climatetech R&D, innovation, manufacturing, commercialization, and deployment in the state.

The program focuses on bridging gaps in the state’s climatetech ecosystem—from testing and demonstration capacity to market access—to improve the rate of commercialization, ensure long-term economic growth, and strengthen Massachusetts’ position as a leader in climatetech innovation. TDA is MassCEC’s first program launched under the Mass Leads Act (2024) and supports the goals outlined in the Massachusetts Climatetech Economic Development Strategy and Implementation Plan (2025).

Mark1 is a Developer-as-a-Service for capital intensive, first of a kind industrial climate technologies. We work with technology companies to maximize the opportunity for deploying their first commercial-scale projects. Mark1 helps climate tech innovators develop a faster and less expensive path to bankability. With an experienced in-house team, we co-pilot the process alongside project-specific needs of each participating company, to achieve the project’s development milestones. We support technical and commercial project development and capital strategies.

We provide capital, expertise, and connections to nurture startups specializing in advanced energy systems, industry efficiency technologies, and sustainable solutions. Our particular emphasis is on closed-loop lithium systems, next-gen battery development and supply chain innovations, leveraging Nevada’s unique position in the global energy market. The accelerator aims to develop these innovative startups into thriving enterprises that deliver both economic growth and positive environmental impact.

This funding opportunity seeks to foster environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture in communities by addressing the need for conservation education and resource support in urban and underserved communities. Projects may include conservation practice demonstration and education opportunities as well endeavors to engage historically underserved growers and communities in NRCS programs. In addition, on established USDA People’s Gardens, projects can include support for things like climate smart conservation practices, stormwater runoff and erosion control, and habitat establishment and management.

This Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas (ERA) funding opportunity provides support for rural and remote communities to build clean energy projects that benefit their communities. Applicants must propose projects that support at least one of these eligible activities:

• Improving overall cost-effectiveness of energy generation, transmission, or distribution systems;
• Siting or upgrading transmission and distribution lines;
• Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from energy generation in rural or remote areas;
• Providing or modernizing electric generation facilities;
• Developing microgrids; and
• Increasing energy efficiency.

With only five minutes to present and five minutes for Q&A, these entrepreneurs will compete for funding, recognition, and the opportunity to accelerate their journey to commercialization.

This NOFO is being issued by DOE’s EERE SETO to invest in R&D, technical assistance, and stakeholder engagement activities that improve the compatibility of large-scale solar (LSS) facilities with wildlife and facilitate the dual use of land for agricultural and solar energy production (agrivoltaics). Projects selected in this NOFO will a) test strategies that mitigate adverse impacts and/or maximize benefits to wildlife and ecosystems at LSS facilities, b) provide technical assistance and engagement opportunities that enable stakeholders to improve the compatibility of LSS facilities with wildlife, or c) provide technical assistance and stakeholder engagement opportunities related to agrivoltaics.

The program will bring together entrepreneurs from across the U.S. and the globe, empowering them to address climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. Founders will receive expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, and an 8-week in-person residency at Halcyon in Washington, DC. The cohort is selected of up to 8 ventures from across the U.S. and the globe. Ventures receive training in Halcyon’s methodology on product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership.

This program brings together founders from across the U.S., empowering them to address climate challenges, health barriers, and equity gaps. Founders gain expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, a one-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, and a one-week in-person residency in Atlanta. The cohort is selected of up to 10 ventures from across the U.S. Ventures receive training in Halcyon’s methodology on product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership.
