The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) seeks to increase the scale and pace of advancing discoveries resulting from academic research into tangible solutions that benefit the public. The overarching goal for the Accelerating Research Translation (ART) program is to advance the U.S. scientific and economic leadership by building capacity and increasing the number of robust translational research ecosystems in Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) that span across the full geography of our nation. Innovations can occur anywhere and can be opportunities for creating sustained impacts in every single region of the United States. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) on behalf of the FECM. The goal of this work is to de-risk the adoption of new mining technologies for commercialization and widespread industry adoption. This will be achieved through:Development of Mine Technology Proving Grounds, Accelerated R&D Projects, and  Collaborative Partnerships.

Mark1 is a Developer-as-a-Service for capital intensive, first of a kind industrial climate technologies. We work with technology companies to maximize the opportunity for deploying their first commercial-scale projects. Mark1 helps climate tech innovators develop a faster and less expensive path to bankability. With an experienced in-house team, we co-pilot the process alongside project-specific needs of each participating company, to achieve the project’s development milestones. We support technical and commercial project development and capital strategies.

The DOE SC programs in Basic Energy Sciences (BES) and Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) announce their interest in receiving applications from interdisciplinary teams to establish partnerships under the Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) program in specific targeted topic areas that relate to the BES and ASCR missions.
