The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced $43 million in funding for projects that will advance research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) in several areas critical to the future of advanced batteries. The funding will drive innovations in low-cost electric vehicle (EV) battery electrode, cell, or pack manufacturing; improve battery safety and reduce cascading failures; and strengthen the domestic supply chain of inexpensive and abundant battery materials. This funding is aligned with strategies detailed in the U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization, which is a landmark interagency framework of strategies and actions to remove all emissions from the transportation sector by 2050, by advancing battery technologies that can power safe and efficient zero-emission EVs.
The New York State Clean Mobility Program will help communities launch/expand innovative zero-emission transportation options that can help reduce reliance on personal vehicles. The Clean Mobility Program will fund projects that will help overcome persistent transportation challenges, especially in underserved communities, and improve access to affordable zero-emission transportation options. Under this PON, Planning and Demonstration Tracks will offer technical assistance and implementation funding to local governments, transit operators, community-based organizations/non-profits, and local employers or groups of employers with a total of at least 1,000 employees in New York State (collectively referred to as “Eligible Entities”).
Charge Ready NY 2.0 is an incentive program that provides $4,000 per charging port installed at a public facility within a DAC and $2,000 per charging port installed at a workplace or MUD location upon completion of the installation of charging equipment and the provision of appropriate documentation. An additional incentive of $500 per port may be awarded for eligible Level 2 charging equipment installed at a workplace or MUD location within a DAC. Equipment Owners at workplace or MUD locations may choose to participate in a bonus program to receive additional incentives. Public and private (for-profit and not-for-profit) entities may participate in the Program. Applicants can be the Equipment Owners or the Installers on behalf of the Equipment Owners.
Through this Request For Proposals (RFP), the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center seeks qualified consultants or professionals with experience in clean transportation, municipal procurement, on-street electric vehicle charging, and utility coordination to serve as a technical consultant and project manager under MassCEC’s On-Street Charging Program. The program will provide technical and financial support for municipalities across Massachusetts interested in piloting On-Street Charging projects.
Through this Request for Proposals the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is seeking qualified consultants or professionals with experience in clean transportation to serve as a technical consultant and project manager under MassCEC’s VFH Electrification Charging Solutions Program. The selected consultant will provide funding and technical assistance to carry out targeted charging station deployment projects.
This FOA seeks to validate grid-edge technology innovations in real-world situations and provide new tools for utilities, grid planners and operators, automakers and smart charge management service providers, and the communities they serve.
This FOA accelerates progress toward the goal of a clean energy economy for all Americans by optimizing systems with grid-connected buildings and electric vehicles powered by clean, distributed energy generation and demonstrating these advanced technologies are reliable, efficient, secure, and ready for wide-scale adoption.
This FOA has two major topical areas:
The RCP Program aims to advance and support reconnection of communities divided by transportation infrastructure – with a priority on helping disadvantaged communities improve access to daily needs (jobs, schools, healthcare, grocery stores, and recreation). Funds for the fiscal years (FY) 2024, 2025, and 2026 RCP grant program are to be awarded on a competitive basis to support planning and capital construction activities that aim to restore community connectivity through the removal, retrofit, mitigation or replacement of highways, roadways, or other infrastructure facilities that create barriers to mobility, access or economic development.
The Nationally Significant Federal Lands and Tribal Projects Program (NSFLTP) of The Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) (Pub. L. 114-94, section 1123), provides funding for the construction, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of nationally significant projects within, adjacent to, or accessing Federal and Tribal lands. This Program provides an opportunity to address significant challenges across the nation for transportation facilities that serve Federal and Tribal lands.
The Catalyst Program is designed to stimulate economic growth and inspire partnerships that improve rural economic vitality across the four-state NBRC region. NBRC encourages projects that take a creative approach to addressing an economic need or opportunity in the region, alleviate economic distress, and contribute to economic growth. Successful projects support a broad range of economic development initiatives such as, but not limited to, projects that modernize and expand access to public water and wastewater services, revitalize transportation infrastructure, establish workforce development programs and facilities, grow the outdoor recreation economy, and provide access to new childcare and healthcare facilities.
The EPA anticipates awarding up to $932 million in competitive grant funding under the 2024 Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grants Program Notice of Funding Opportunity. The program is soliciting applications nationwide for a grant competition to fund the replacement of existing non-zero-emission Class 6 and 7 heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission Class 6 and 7 heavy-duty vehicles. The following entities are eligible to apply under the 2024 Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program: States, including U.S. territories; Municipalities, including public school districts; Indian Tribes; Nonprofit school transportation associations.
