We work with technology companies to maximize the opportunity for deploying their first commercial-scale projects. Mark1 helps climate tech innovators develop a faster and less expensive path to bankability. With an experienced in-house team, we co-pilot the process alongside project-specific needs of each participating company, to achieve the project’s development milestones. It is critical that Tribal nations have the capacity to ensure that their perspectives are heard in offshore wind energy decision-making processes that may impact their communities, cultural resources, homelands, and ocean spaces. To support Tribal capacity to engage in offshore wind energy decision-making, planning, and regulatory processes, the Capacity Accelerator for Tribal Offshore Wind Engagement, managed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy, is offering a $7.1 million prize pool to Tribal nations and collectives.

Founders will receive expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, and an 8-week in-person residency at Halcyon in Washington, DC. The cohort is selected of up to 8 ventures from across the U.S. and the globe. Ventures receive training in Halcyon’s methodology on product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership.
