From 2024 through 2027, the Commercial Building Heat Pump Accelerator will work with stakeholders, from commercial building owners and operators to manufacturers, to accelerate the development and adoption of heat pump packaged RTUs to achieve integrated energy efficiency and electrification of buildings. The Accelerator is working to accelerate the production and deployment of heat pump RTUs. Organizations looking to partner with the Accelerator can join the Challenge or the Campaign.

We are excited to announce the third iteration of our InNYC cohort. We provide three months of McKinsey team support for seed to series C startups with underrepresented founders* in the New York area who we believe will change the future.

The Concentrating Solar Flux to Heat and Power funding opportunity will award up to $30 million for research, development, and demonstration projects that accelerate the large-scale development of CSP technology. The three topic areas are:

• Scalable Concentrating Solar Collectors – This topic seeks innovations to lower costs and demonstrate reliability of solar collectors.
• Scalable Supercritical Carbon Dioxide (sCO₂) Turbomachinery – This topic seeks proposals for scaled-up, advanced power cycles based on supercritical carbon dioxide that are more efficient than existing steam-based cycles.
• Scalable Concentrating Solar-thermal Receivers and Reactors – This topic seeks proposals for novel solar receivers and solar reactors that convert concentrated sunlight into usable thermal energy at high temperatures.

The goal of the prize is to encourage citizens and organizations from all over the world for their great contribution to solving important humanitarian problems. One of the Focus Areas is:

  • Рrojects in the field of environmental protection, environmental education, environmental consumption, green economy and technology.

The Southern California Energy Innovation Network (SCEIN) is a free program for startups that are developing solutions to help California meet its energy goals. The program provides access to the resources and facilities of a number of regional partner organizations (listed below) and connections with industry in order to accelerate the commercialization of emerging energy technologies.

This program will support the growth of 6 startups per cohort (twice per year) through our network of experienced mentors, technologists, industry experts, venture capitalists and local corporate partners. Each selected startup will receive a $20k investment on the terms of their current round with additional funding consideration at the conclusion of the program. We accept applications from sustainability- or mobility-related startups across the United States. Relocation to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the duration of the program is required.

gener8tor Milwaukee invests in five high-growth startups per cohort. This is an industry-agnostic and business model-agnostic program. We accept ALL types of startups across ALL industries and business models. Accepted startups receive $100K and 12 weeks of mentorship-driven programming.

The gener8tor Great Lakes Resilience Accelerator invests in and supports 5 innovative startups per cohort developing carbon sequestration, hazard mitigation and coastal resilience, and ecosystem services.

With an active energy mentor network, we have deep expertise in the energy industry. Our accelerator serves to accelerate the energy transition by supporting early-stage startups that contribute to significant energy efficiency improvements, are developing energy derived from renewable, zero-emissions sources or are curbing the environmental impact of all types of energy production, distribution or usage, or enabling progress toward net-zero carbon.

This funding will support pilot projects and testing facilities to demonstrate and scale carbon dioxide removal technologies that reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) pollution by removing it directly from the atmosphere and then storing the CO2 in geological, biobased, and ocean reservoirs or converting it into value-added products. This funding opportunity announcement has three areas of interest:

1. Small Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage Pilots — will support integrated pilot-scale testing of biomass carbon removal and storage or conversion with appropriate monitoring, reporting, and verification.
2. Small Mineralization Pilots — will support integrated pilot-scale testing of enhanced mineralization technologies with appropriate monitoring, reporting, and verification.
3. Multi-Pathways Carbon Dioxide Removal Testbed Facilities — will support testbed facilities suitable for evaluating, developing, and integrating multiple carbon dioxide removal pathways across different ecosystems, climates, and communities.

It offers access to business/personal mentoring and coaching with experienced professionals, technical mentoring from Imperial researchers, a range of webinars, masterclasses and workshops, free workspace at White City in London and South Kensington, and equity-free grant funding.
