BUILD4SCALE TRAINING

In an effort to assist clean energy innovators to create manufacturing-ready prototypes, the DOE is providing the Build4Scale training program. The self-paced eight-module training provides the knowledge needed to assess manufacturing readiness, evaluate smart product design, and engage with manufacturing partners. Organizations and individuals involved in American manufacturing and technology innovation including energy hardware technologists: scientists, engineers, students, and innovators are requested to utilize this opportunity.

CENTER FOR EVALUATION OF CLEAN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY (CECET)

CECET (along with NYSERDA) is working towards clean energy technology advancement through funding support and technical assistance. Interested candidates would receive expert guidance in product design, R&D, evaluation and advisory support, in addition to laboratory testing facility to a number of clean technologies like Wind, Solar, Geothermal, etc.

SBIR/STTR PHASE-I RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT

The DOE has expressed interest in research proposals around topics of scientific or technical merit and feasibility of ideas with commercial potential and in line with DOE mission research. The period of performance should not exceed 12 months and only the awardees of Phase-I would proceed to Phase-II. Approximately 40% of phase-I awardees would be awarded phase-II awards.

DOE-EPSCOR GRANTS ANNOUCEMENT

The DOE is soliciting proposals from people involved in competitive research in areas of science and technology. The preliminary areas of interest are Advanced Scientific Computing Research, Basic Energy Sciences, Biological and Environmental Research, Fusion Energy Sciences, High Energy Physics, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Fuel Cell Technologies, Solar Energy Technologies and Nuclear energy.

SBIR/STTR PHASE-II ANNOUNCEMENT

The DOE invites relevant people (Phase 1 & 11 grantees) to apply for phase-II grants aimed at completion of R&D associated with the initial prototype, product, or process development (Phase IIA) and transition of innovative models towards commercialization (Phase IIB). The main areas of interest would include greater emphasis on impact demonstration of the path to commercialization as evidenced in commercialization activities conducted in parallel with or after Phase IIB R&D.

SBIR/STTR PHASE-0 ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The DOE has instituted a phase-0 program, to assist eligible small businesses to navigate the complexities of the SBIR/STTR proposal process, in association with the Dawnbreaker-led team. Various services provided include LOI writing, Phase I Proposal Preparation, Review and Registration, Market Research, Small Business Development Training, Mentoring and Registrations, Technology Advice and Consultation, Intellectual Property Consultation and Indirect Rates and Financials.

NM FAST PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

The NM Federal and State Technology (NM FAST) partnership program provides SBIR and STTR proposal development assistance to small businesses throughout NM. Securing federal funding for your innovative idea or technology is a critical step towards commercial success. The SBIR and STTR programs, often referred to as “America’s Seed Fund,” are an excellent source of undiluted funding, but are highly competitive. NM FAST provides the resources, support, and expertise necessary to submit a highly competitive proposal.
