Washington, D.C. – The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) and the Clean Energy Business Network (CEBN) commend Senate passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. The historic legislation will propel the nation’s clean energy transition, counter inflation, and help American citizens save money.

“The Inflation Reduction Act embraces a bold and broad-based approach, with transformational clean energy, energy efficiency and climate change policies, and long-term tax policy certainty for businesses,” said BCSE President Lisa Jacobson. “These provisions provide new tools to fight inflation, reduce the cost of energy for American families and businesses, and create good paying jobs in every state. The Inflation Reduction Act is the most sweeping legislation to pass the Senate to address climate change, both in term of emission reductions and improving the nation’s energy infrastructure and resilience. BCSE looks forward to the Inflation Reduction Act’s vote in the House of Representatives this week.”

“The Inflation Reduction Act will help combat climate change, diversify our energy sources, strengthen national security, and reduce inflation,” said CEBN President Lynn Abramson. “We applaud the Senate for advancing this important legislation and urge the House of Representatives to take swift action to send it to the President’s desk.”
