Community Clean Energy Coalition Prize – Winning Teams

September 20, 2023

The first two phases of the Community Clean Energy Coalition Prize have drawn to a close. In Phase One, ten teams were awarded $30,000 each for their winning plans to form a local coalition and address a pressing energy challenge in their community. These teams were selected out of more than 70 entries for best identifying a community to serve and an energy challenge to address that is not only achievable, but also aligns with the goals of the Justice 40 initiative.

All ten Phase One winners also won Phase Two and have each been awarded $150,000. Coalitions were judged on the strength and thoroughness of their Coalition Implementation Plans. Read the official announcement from the U.S. Department of Energy.
