Advancing Informal STEM Learning
The Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) Program is committed to funding research and practice, with continued focus on investigating a range of informal STEM learning (ISL) experiences and environments that make lifelong learning a reality. This program seeks proposals that center engagement, broadening participation, and belonging, and further the well-being of individuals and communities who have been and continue to be excluded, underserved, or underrepresented in STEM along several dimensions. The current solicitation encourages proposals from institutions and organizations that serve public audiences, and specifically focus on public engagement with and understanding of STEM, including community STEM; public participation in scientific research (PPSR); science communication; intergenerational STEM engagement; and STEM media.

NSF Engineering Research Initiation (ERI)
The NSF Directorate for Engineering (ENG) seeks to build engineering research capacity across the nation by investing in new academic investigators who have yet to receive sufficient research funding from Federal Agencies. The Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) program will support new investigators as they initiate their research programs and advance in their careers as researchers, educators, and innovators. This funding opportunity aims to broaden the base of investigators involved in engineering research and therefore is limited to investigators that are not affiliated with “very high research activity” R1 institutions.

Science and Technology Centers: Integrative Partnerships
The Science and Technology Centers (STC): Integrative Partnerships program supports exceptionally innovative, complex research and education projects that require large-scale, long-term awards. STCs focus on creating new scientific paradigms, establishing entirely new scientific disciplines, and developing transformative technologies which have the potential for broad scientific or societal impact. STCs conduct world-class research through partnerships among institutions of higher education, national laboratories, industrial organizations, other public or private entities, and via international collaborations, as appropriate. They provide a means to undertake potentially groundbreaking investigations at the interfaces of disciplines and/or highly innovative approaches within disciplines. STCs may involve any area of science and engineering that NSF supports. STC investments support the NSF vision of creating and exploiting new concepts in science and engineering and providing global leadership in research and education. Centers provide a rich environment for encouraging scientists, engineers, and educators to take risks in pursuing discoveries and new knowledge.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), Tribal Engagement in Regional Ocean Partnership Priorities
The purpose of this program is to encourage or enhance tribal engagement with or participation in existing Regional Ocean Partnerships (ROPs) around the country. Proposals submitted in response to this announcement must:
- support tribal activities aligned with ROP priorities, including identification of ocean and coastal priorities;
- provide opportunities for tribes to work together to define intertribal ocean and coastal management priorities and identify alignment and intersection with ROP priorities;
- enhance or create capacity for tribes to engage with and in ROP activities (e.g., webinars, meetings, workshops);
- support the development of partnerships or engagement between a tribal government and a ROP in the management of ocean and coastal resources; and/or
- increase consideration and inclusion of tribal information and knowledge (as appropriate) in regional data portals, enhance tribes’ ability to access data developed by ROPs, or to inform which data and tools are available in regional data portals.

Citizen science has a rich history within NOAA with volunteer observations contributing to our Nation’s prediction and management of weather, oceans, coasts, and fisheries for decades. NOAA supports opportunities for the public to engage with the agency’s mission and address societal needs through science, technology, and innovation. The purpose of this solicitation is to support citizen science projects that can help support federal fisheries stock assessments and climate-ready fisheries management. Low Carbon Pathways for Multifamily Buildings (NY)
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Low Carbon Pathways for Multifamily Buildings program offers financial support to New York State Multifamily building owners & property managers to install low carbon energy efficiency upgrades.
Through the program, affordable and market-rate multifamily building owners/property managers can take a step-by-step approach towards achieving whole-building deep carbon reductions and electrification by implementing packages of low carbon upgrades that can more easily leverage existing capital improvement milestones (e.g. equipment end of life, local law compliance, etc.) to reduce the incremental cost of improvements. In addition to energy and utility bill savings, these low carbon measure packages may lead to reduced operation and maintenance costs, extended equipment life, and increased occupant comfort.

Climate Justice Fellowship (NY)
NYSERDA is seeking applications from organizations who wish to host a full-time Climate Justice Fellow for 1 year. NYSERDA will fund the fellow’s salary as well as professional development training/mentoring and/or wrap-around services. Fellows must be members of a priority population. Host organizations must be working to advance climate justice and clean energy priorities for disadvantaged communities. It is anticipated that fellows from priority populations will work with community-based organizations, universities, municipalities, tribal nations, career technology education (CTE) programs for K-12 schools, climate tech innovators/start-ups, venture development organizations and clean energy businesses.
