Caltech’s Rocket Fund
Caltech’s Rocket Fund is a member supported granting pool that helps academic and garage innovators turn their technologies into commercial realities through financial support, entrepreneurial mentoring and education. In addition to grant, awardee will receive:
- Opportunity to work with utilities and access further funding
- Introductions to experts in product development, scale up and manufacturing
- Access to legal advice covering corporate structure and IP
- Channel relationships with IN2 Wells Fargo, Shell GameChanger for securing voucher funding covering lab testing facilities and technical expertise

Valley Ventures Accelerator
The Valley Ventures Accelerator Cohort will feature two distinct groups, each dedicated to different industry sectors. Group 1 will specialize in Agriculture Tech, while Group 2 will focus on Energy and Water. While there will be some shared content between the two groups, we will also offer separate industry events tailored to each track. Additionally, participants will be required to complete essential video modules covering grants, sales, and pilot demonstrations before the program begins, ensuring everyone starts with the same fundamental knowledge. We will select five ventures for each track, resulting in a total cohort of ten companies. This balanced approach ensures a diverse pool of participants from both sectors.

Hyperfuel Labs (Houston, TX)
Hyperfuel Labs is on a mission to fast-track clean hydrogen technology scale-up. With our open-access, industrial-scale demonstration facility, we’re accelerating the path from lab to commercialization. Our facility plans to offer 15 cutting-edge test bays and a shared 10-ton per day balance of plant (BoP), providing the ideal platform for testing electrolysis or pyrolysis technologies up to 100kg-1,500kg per day. The selection process, testing and qualification criteria is vetted by a scientific and industrial consortium. We are interested to to hear from 1) from companies who are looking to go through the validation process and are interested in participating in our first cohort and 2) companies who have already been through validation and are seeking scale up funding.

2024 mPOWER Women Founders (Chicago, IL)
mPOWER programs are designed to rebalance opportunity and access for startups building physical products that are founded by women and people of color. Harnessing the existing resources of the nation’s leading independent innovation center for physical product companies, each participant receives hands-on support to turn ideas into hardtech businesses. There is no fee to participate in the program as membership is covered by program partners. To be eligible for the next mPOWER cohort, you must be a woman innovator and/or founder, have a clear problem that you are solving with a physical product, and can dedicate 7-10 hours a week during the 6-month program beginning in February 2024.

LabStart 2024 Fellowship
LabStart is actively recruiting a diverse cohort of individuals – passionate about climate solutions, for a paid, year-long fellowship. During the program, fellows will work to build a startup around technologies licensed from national labs and universities. LabStart provides funding, structured programming and mentorship with a peer cohort, access to industry networks and funding pipelines, and guidance navigating the patent licensing process. You commit to working full-time on launching your company and we commit to making that possible! Selected entrepreneurs will convene with an in-person kickoff March 12-14, 2024. We anticipate 3-5 in-person events throughout the year and 6-8 virtual hours per week of LabStart curriculum, mentorship, team building, and coaching.

DeltaClimeVT Energy2024 (Vermont)
The 2024 challenge: To be part of a competitively selected cohort of start-up and/or seed stage ventures who offer innovative products or services aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to help Vermont meet its climate goals. Start-ups addressing the decarbonization of buildings, transportation, heating and industrial processes through electrification, biofuels, thermal energy networks or other renewables with a particular focus on load management controls integrated with storage, heat pumps, electric vehicle charging equipment and building systems are encouraged to apply. Ventures that address energy burden for under-represented and low to moderate income populations are of particular interest.

ACCEL – Advancing Climatetech and Clean Energy Leaders
For Year 2 of the ACCEL program, we’re seeking applications from innovative startups at TRL 1-4 with founding and executive teams that are primarily made up of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) leaders who are developing climate solutions for the electricity, transportation, buildings, manufacturing, agriculture, and resiliency + adaptation sectors.
This year-long program combines acceleration with a curated curriculum, incubation through a Greentown Labs membership, and extensive mentorship from Greentown and Browning the Green Space (BGS)’s networks of industry experts. Greentown and BGS know the climatetech industry must change the status quo to equitably position you to lead startups that will address climate change, support the development of diverse workforces, and fiercely advocate for the deployment of clean technologies in historically underserved communities.

The Inspiring Generations of New Innovators to Impact Technologies in Energy (IGNIITE) program is designed to support a new cohort of early-career researchers to develop the most disruptive and unconventional ideas into transformative new technologies across the full spectrum of energy applications. Areas of interest include grid, transportation, buildings and construction, electricity generation and storage, carbon capture, storage, and sequestration, industrial efficiency and decarbonization, amongst others. Additionally, awardees will engage with ARPA-E and fellow awardees through dedicated IGNIITE events, meetings, and mentorship activities.

A signature program of NYCEDC’s Venture Access NYC initiative, the Founder Fellowship is designed to improve access to capital and networks for underrepresented founders across all tech-enabled sectors.
