The Clean Energy Business Network recently surpassed 4,500 members and supporters in its network of clean energy business leaders in a flurry of summer and fall activities including support for the American-Made Solar prize.

The fourth episode of the Powering Forward series is produced in partnership with Third Way. Speakers explored the opportunities and challenges associated with building and enhancing the clean energy workforce, with a focus on public private partnerships, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and recent survey results on how clean energy employers are responding to COVID-19.

The CEBN responded to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology’s (HSST) call for stakeholder input on the draft Department Of Energy  Loan Programs Revitalization Act. The CEBN provided recommendations that will strengthen the clean energy small business economy by adding a section on small business loans and clarifying the definition of reasonable prospect for repayment for both the Title XVII and ATVM program.

The Clean Energy Business Network’s Board of Directors recently voted to unanimously approve Emily Duncan as its newest member. Ms. Duncan, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for CEBN’s parent organization, the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, brings high-level energy sector experience to the table.

250 clean energy business leaders from across the nation have signed onto a letter urging Congress to include clean energy measures in an upcoming COVID-19 response or stimulus bill, putting communities back to work building a stronger, healthier, more resilient future for our nation.

This webinar examined the state and local response to COVID-19. Panelists explored how state governments are responding to COVID-19, identified what energy resilience solutions are needed by communities in the wake of this crisis, and discussed federal infrastructure legislation currently pending in Congress that could assist communities in building stronger, more resilient energy systems.

The second Powering Forward webinar, hosted by the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, Clean Energy Business Network and E2, compared the findings of the 2020 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook to the current and projected impacts on the clean energy economy due to COVID-19.
